Investigation: When reports surface of people keeping orangutans or orangutans entering residential areas, the BKSDA collaboration with Sitang Orangutan Center, initiates an investigation at the reported location. Once the presence of an orangutan is confirmed, the BKSDA along with Sintang Orangutan Center rescue team, proceeds to the site to carry out the evacuation.

Evacuation: During orangutan evacuations, BKSDA with Sintang Orangutan Center and local law enforcement, visits the orangutan owner's residence to retrieve the orangutans in question. The SOC medical team then conducts a brief health assessment to determine the orangutan's overall condition.
